Stella can leave home for six weeks. Leaving her heartbreak behind will take more than a plane ticket.
Her marriage is unraveling, and the man she loves has failed to stand beside her when she needs him most. Torn between her own pain and her children’s future, Stella accepts her friend Jane’s invitation to walk the Camino de Santiago.
She begins as an atheist, hoping for room to think. Instead, the trail brings laughter in crowded pilgrim shelters, kindness from strangers, and moments she cannot easily explain. As the miles unfold, her questions about home become questions about faith itself.
Inspired by real-life experiences, When the Wind Answered follows a woman learning to trust that her future may still hold something worth walking toward.
“Stella’s journey is about so much more than walking the Camino de Santiago. Her struggles with marriage, motherhood, and uncertainty make her story deeply relatable. What makes this book special is how naturally moments of kindness and unexpected encounters begin to change her outlook on life. A moving story about finding hope when everything feels uncertain.”
